Step aside, Shannen Doherty. Hilary Duff just might be the new face of Beverly Hills, 90210.

Sources connected to the series told me exclusively that producers for the CW’s 90210 remake have reached out to Hilary to offer her a starring role in the series.

No word yet on whether she is interested in the role, and at press time, we have not received comment from reps for the CW or Hilary.

According to sources, Hilary’s potential character is that of Annie Mills. As I reported last month, Annie is a Beverly Hills High student who is into theater acting, just like her predecessor. But instead of Color Me Badd, she’s listening to emo bands. She yearns to fit in with the alternative crowd and leans a lot on her adopted brother, Dixon, too.

Hilary Duff and Haylie Duff are undoubtedly one of the most fashionable sisters in Hollywood. Last night, Hollyscoop hit the red carpet for the Kritik clothing line launch party for their new collection in collaboration with Lisa Kline at the Lisa Kline boutique in Hollywood.

With all this fashion talk, Hollyscoop wanted to know if the Duff sisters would soon launch their very own fashion line. Haylie said, “I don’t know… we definitely love fashion and love getting dressed up. I think it takes a lot of talent to do a line, especially a high fashion one.” Haylie went on to say that she will leave the designing to the professionals. “The people who do high fashion lines need to go to school. There are people who work so hard just to do that, when actors or singers step into that role there’s something a little unfair about it. We’ll leave that to other people and wear their clothes.”

Speaking of designer, Haylie was out last night to support her good friend designer Jonathan Cheban who designs Kritik which is being noted as ‘the new juicy.’
